It all started with a need. A desire for things to be better. A pilot who was sick and tired of creating logbook summaries by hand when renewing his licence every year. This was the birth of Time Well Spent, an electronic logbook for South African pilots.

Created initially just for himself, things changed quickly when his friends saw how useful his own website was. Time Well Spent was put live on the internet, and subsequently exploded into the powerhouse that it is today, serving thousands of Southern African pilots.

AeroDev was established in March 2022, to formalise the business into a more sustainable structure. Employees were hired, products were developed, and AeroDev is fast becoming a beacon of innovative solutions.

Our mission is to serve the aviation sector by developing innovative software solutions that improve the lives of pilots, airports, airlines, and other aviation professionals. Besides the aviation software we serve the wider commercial sector with software that increases productivity, reliability of data processing and streamlining workflows.
